CMC-2 ~2.8x Magnification

The Compact Macro Converter 2 (CMC-2) is an in-water optic designed for macro subjects. It offers less magnification than the CMC-1, making it easier to use for larger macro subjects. This lens serves as a second choice for compact and mirrorless system photographers, expanding magnification options without compromising image quality. The CMC-2 has a 100m depth rating.

Images taken underwater with the CMC-2 show improved sharpness compared to shots behind a flat port with no accessory lens. The flat port degrades overall sharpness; the optical correction from the CMC-2 restores it. The accessory macro conversion lenses use computer software to model an accessory lens that complements the entire system, accounting for critical air-water interfaces in its design. The CMC-2 uses specially formulated low dispersion optical grade glass, ground to demanding standards, resulting in greater sharpness and contrast. Broadband anti-reflective coatings reduce optical issues such as chromatic aberrations, coma, spherical aberration, and field deformation.

This converter mounts with a common M67 thread. Its protruding rear element places the optic close to the camera lens port. A flush mount adapter ring is included. The Nauticam bayonet system is also compatible with the CMC-2. This system allows for shooting both macro and wide angle on the same dive. Flip adapters hold the accessory lenses in place and swing out fo
