The NA-Ultra5 housing supports the SmallHD Ultra 5 camera monitor, rated to 100m. This housing provides access to the Ultra 5's 300nit 5-inch HD screen and its camera controls for ARRI, Sony, and RED cinema cameras. The housing is designed for underwater filmmakers who need an external monitor with camera control functionality.
This housing includes two M28 accessory bulkheads at the top and one at the bottom, supporting cross-conversion for surface monitoring. It uses dedicated control bundles for cinema camera control, ensuring full functionality of the Ultra 5's PageOS 5 operating system underwater. The NA-Ultra5 also accommodates the SmallHD Micro Battery Plate for V-Mount with SmallRig VB50 Mini V-Mount Batteries.
The SmallHD Ultra 5 Camera Monitor
The SmallHD Ultra 5 monitor features a 10-bit HD display with both HDMI and SDI input, plus cross-conversion. It provides camera control for ARRI, RED, and Sony cinema cameras. Its PageOS 5 operating system includes exposure tools like EL Zone false-color overlay and standard focus assist and waveforms. Camera settings appear at the top and bottom of the screen, not over the image, and are visible across all screens. The three custom buttons are programmable for various functions, including tool activation or display brightness adjustment.
